Recipe: Galettes Fablees (Sugar Cookies)

Recipes using McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract

• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 2 cups flour
• 1/3 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup sour cream

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cream sugar and butter together.
3. Add egg and vanilla.
4. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
5. Add about 1/3 of this mixture to egg mixture, then add about 1/3 of the sour cream.
6. Continue adding flour mixture alternately with sour cream.
7. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes.
8. If desired, sprinkle with sugar and brush with egg white before baking.
