Recipe: Gingy Bars
Gingy Bars Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups King Arthur flour
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 cup raisins
Icing
To make Gingy Bars
- Melt butter and add molasses, sugar, and beaten egg.
- Add to mixture of flour and spices.
- Gently stir in the raisins and nuts.
- Bake in 9" x 13" pan at 350° F for 20 minutes.
- Prepare icing by blending confectioners sugar, vanilla, salt, and milk.
- Drizzle icing over pastry while still warm.
- Cool and cut into Gingy Bars.
