Golden Dipt Beer Batter Mix 10oz, Case of 12
Golden Dipt Beer Batter Seafood Mix is an excellent batter for coating cod, tilipia, trout, and shrimp. Just mix with water, then dip in serving-size pieces of seafood, and fry until golden brown.
- Stir 1 cup of Beer Batter Mix with 2/3 cup of Beer or Water in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Dip fish, cut into serving size pieces, into batter. Shake off excess. Carefully add fish, several pieces at a time, into hot oil.
- Fry for 3 to 5 minutes, turning once to brown evenly, until fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. Drain on paper towels.
Best with cod, tilapia, trout, or shrimp.
To coat 3 lbs of shrimp or fish fillets, mix entire box with 1 1/4 cups of water.
Flavorful Tip
- For extra flavor, stir 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning into 1 cup of Golden Dipt Beer Batter Mix.
Seasoned Beer Battered Shrimp Recipe
- 1 cup Golden Dipt Beer Batter Mix
- 1/2 tsp McCormick Garlic Powder
- 1/4 Tsp McCormick Ground Red Pepper
- 2/3 cup Beer or water
- 1 pound large deveined and peel shrimp
Stir Beer Batter mix, garlic powder, red pepper in a medium bowl until mixed. Add beer or water and mix until smooth. Cook as directed above.
Beer Battered Onion Rings Recipe
Stir 1 cup Beer Batter Mix with 2/3 cups beer or water in a medium bowl until mixed. Slice 1 to 2 large sweet onions into 1/2" thick rings (about 2 cups). Dip into Beer Batter, one at a time. Fry, several at a time, for 1 to 3 minutes, turning once, until golden brown.
Ingredients: Enriched wheat flour (flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavon, and folc acid), yellow corn flour, modified corn starch, salt, leavening (sodium aluminum phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, and monocalcium phosphate), guar gum and white pepper.
