Recipe: Grilled Ginger Chicken
- 3 to 4 lbs. chicken parts, skinned
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1" slice fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1 hot red or green pepper, seeded and minced
- Sprinkle of black pepper
- 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- Wash chicken pieces and pat dry.
- Put remaining ingredients in the blender and puree. Pour over chicken in a large bowl or plastic bag.
- Cover bowl or seal in plastic bag and marinate at least 4 hours (overnight is best) in the refrigerator.
- Place chicken on medium grill for 15 minutes each side, basting occasionally.
