Recipe: Horseradish Sauce

Recipes using McCormick Black Pepper, Ground

• 2 tbsps butter or margarine
• 2 tbsps flour
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/8 tsp pepper
• 1 cup milk or light cream
• 1/3 cup horseradish
• 1/4 tsp dry mustard

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in milk or cream, horseradish, and dry mustard. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir one minute. Sprinkle with paprika before serving. Makes about 1 cup.
