Recipe: Irish Oatmeal Bread
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups quick rolled oats
- 1 1/2 tbsps baking powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease well a loaf pan

- In large mixing bowl mix flour, oats, baking powder and salt.
- In medium mixing bowl, using mixer beat eggs with honey; add milk and mix.
- Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients stirring with a wooden spoon just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Mixture will not be smooth.
- Pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake 1 hr 15 mins or until crusty.
- While still warm, brush top with melted butter.
