Recipe: Knot Rolls
Knot Rolls Ingredients
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp dry yeast
- 1 cup scalded milk (cool)
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 beaten egg
- 4 cups flour
To Make Knot Rolls
- Soften yeast in water. Add all other ingredients. Mix and knead well.
- Let rise until double in bulk.
- Roll dough on lightly floured surface to 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut in strips. Tie in a knot, tucking ends under.
- Place on greased cookie sheet. Allow to rise until light.
- Bake at 350° F. degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.
