Recipe: Macadamia Dream Bars
Crust
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
Filling
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups coconut
1 cup Macadamia nuts, chopped
dash of salt
Cream together crust ingredients butter, brown sugar, and flour; mix well. Pat mixture into bottom of ungreased 9 X 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Beat eggs, add brown sugar and vanilla; mix well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add dry ingredients to egg mixture. Fold in coconut and macadamia nuts. Spread mixture on baked crumbly mixture just as it is taken from the oven. Return to oven and bake. Cool and cut into squares. |
