Recipe: Macaroni and Cheese
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- Paprika
- Preheat oven to 375° f.
- Cook elbow noodles according to package directions.
- Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan.
- Add flour to butter, and mix in.
- Gradually add milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly
- Continue to heat milk/flour mixture, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
- Add cheese, and cayenne pepper. Continue to stir until cheese has melted.
- Place elbow noodles into a loaf pan or casserole. Pour the milk and cheese mixture over top of noodles, and stir to coat noodles.
- Sprinkle top with paprika, and place in oven. Cook until brown and bubbly -- about 20 to 25 minutes.
