Recipe: Martha's Company Casserole
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 tsp oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- dash white pepper
- 2 x 8-oz cans tomato sauce
- 8 of package egg noodles
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 8 oz pkg cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup peppers, chopped
- 1 tbsp onion, chopped
Brown ground beef; add tomato sauce, oregano, garlic salt, and white pepper. Remove from heat. Boil noodles 10 minutes, drain and add butter and seasonings. Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, onion and green pepper. Mix well with electric mixer. Lightly butter a 2 quart casserole and spread one-half of noodles. Cover with cheese mixture and add remaining noodles. Spoon on meat and sauce mixture. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350° F in covered casserole.
