McCormick Ground Dry Mustard 16oz (1lb) 453g
Ground, or dry, Mustard is the ground seed of the mustard plant.
Unlike most other aromatic spices, Ground Mustard has no aroma when dry. Ground Mustard must be moistened for about 10 minutes to develop its sharp, hot, tangy flavor. Mustard is derived from two commercially important classes of herbs: Brassica hirta that produces white or yellow seeds; and Brassica juncea that produces brown and Oriental seeds.
Recipe for Deviled Eggs: Slice 6 peeled hard-cooked eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks; mash with fork. Stir in 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon each Ground Mustard and 1/4 teaspoon Season-All® Seasoned Salt. Spoon into egg halves. Sprinkle with Paprika. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
1 teaspoon Ground Mustard is equivalent to 1 tablespoon prepared mustard in cooked recipes.
Cooking Suggestions: Add to cheese soufflé, cheese spreads and sauces. Use in French dressing, mayonnaise, barbecue sauces, Italian dressing or ham glaze. Delicious in egg, potato, macaroni and shrimp salad.
