Recipe: Mondel Bread

Recipes using Diamond Shelled Walnuts

• 3 eggs
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 5 tbsp canola oil
• 1/4 tsp sea salt
• 2-1/2 cups white flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 cup chopped walnuts
• 1/2 cup raisins
• 1 small bottle (4-oz) Maraschino cherries, sliced
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 2 tsp orange juice
• sugar and cinnamon

1. Combine all ingredients in order (except last item).
2. Grease a 10" x 15' cookie sheet.
3. Spoon into pan in 3 or 4 long strips.
4. Pat on water.
5. Sprinkle with sugar and/or cinnamon.
6. Bake in 350° F oven for 30 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven.
7. When cool, slice diagonally every 3/4".
