Recipe: Onion Cheese Soup

Ingredients in Onion Cheese Soup

• 2 slices diced bacon
• 1 cup chopped onion
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
• dash paprika
• 2 cups water
• 1 beef bouillon cube
• 2 cups milk
• 2 cups grated cheese (Velveeta and cheddar)

To Make Onion Cheese Soup

1. Brown bacon in soup pan.
2. Add onion to cooked bacon and cook approximately 5 minutes.
3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, dry mustard, and paprika.
4. Add water and bouillon to mixture.
5. Cook until mixture is thick.
6. Add milk to mixture and heat.
7. Stir grated cheese into mixture; cook until melted.
8. Serve warm.
