Recipe: Palpeta Meat Balls
Meatballs:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 eggs
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Basil Leaves
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 cup Unseasoned Dried Bread Crumbs
Sauce:
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 4 cans water
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Granulated Sugar
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions:
- Mix together the ingredients lists above for meatball.
- Shape into 1 inch balls and place on a plate covered with waxed paper.
- Brown meatballs in olive oil.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce by combining tomato paste with water; then add onion powder, garlic powder, basil,
- salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Pour the mixed sauce over meatballs, cover, and reduce heat. Simmer slowly for 1 1/2 hours. Check the pan and add additional water, if the sauce drys out.
