Recipe: Pecan Rolls
- 2 pkgs yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cups scalded milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 7 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsps fine grind sea salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Put yeast, warm water and sugar together.
- Pour milk over butter and add sugar.
- Add half of the flour to the yeast mixture.
- Add eggs, salt and pecans.
- Beat until smooth.
- Gradually, work in more flour.
- Knead until smooth.
- Round up dough; grease dough.
- Place dough in a bowl to rise until it doubles.
- Punch it down.
- Make into rolls.
- Let rise.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
