Recipe: Pineapple Shrimp
Batter:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup water
Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 package pineapple
- shrimp sauce mix
- 1 No. 303 can pineapple tidbits
- 2 tablespoons toasted
- sesame seed
- Clean shrimp. Combine ingredients for batter.
- Dip shrimp in batter and deep fry until golden brown.
- Combine sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer one minute.
- Place drained pineapple tidbits on shrimps and pour sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
