Recipe: Pork Spareribs
- 3 lbs pork spareribs
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup prepared Chili Sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon or 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Worchestershire Sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp dry minced onions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Cut spareribs into individual ribs, and place into a roaster.
- Cover and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and pour off fat.
- Mean while combine all of the remaining ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan. Mix well, and simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Pour the sauce prepared above over top of ribs, and return to oven. Immediately reduce oven temperature to 350° F.
- Bake uncovered for about 1 hour, basting ribs frequently with sauce. Add a little water if sauce starts to dry out.
- Serve with coleslaw, applesauce, or potato salad.
