Recipe: Quiche Lorraine II
Quiche Lorraine Ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
- 1/2 lb bacon
- 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, diced
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup light cream
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
To make Quiche Lorraine
Fry bacon until almost crisp. Drain on paper towel. Arrange alternately with cheese in pie shell. In medium bowl, beat eggs with flour, salt and cayenne. Stir in milk, cream, onions and butter. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle nutmeg on top. Bake at 450° F for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake until knife comes out clean - about 40 minutes. Serves 8. |
