Recipe: Broccoli Puff
- 1 (10oz) pkg frozen broccoli florets
- 1 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 oz sharp shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine (melted)
- 1/2 tsp fine grind sea salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook frozen broccoli according to pkg directions, omitting salt called for on the package.
- Thoroughly drain cooked broccoli.
- Place broccoli cuts in a 10 x 6 x 1 ½ inch baking dish.
- Stir together condensed soup and shredded cheese.
- Gradually add milk, mayonnaise, salt and beaten egg to soup mixture stirring until well blended.
- Pour over broccoli in baking dish.
- Combine bread crumbs and melted butter.
- Sprinkle crumbs evenly over soup mixture and broccoli.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until crumbs are lightly browned.
