Recipe: Red Raspberry Cake

Recipes using Argo Baking Powder

• 2 pkgs frozen red raspberries
• 1 (3oz) pkg raspberry Jello (dry)
• 2 ¼ cups flour
• 1 ½ cups sugar
• 3 tsps baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup milk
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup miniature marshmallows
• whipped or ice cream

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
3. Combine thawed raspberries with Jello and set aside.
4. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl.
5. Add shortening and milk and eggs to dry ingredients.
6. Beat at low speed to blend and continue beating until smooth.
7. Put marshmallows in the bottom of a well greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
8. Pour batter over marshmallows.
9. Spoon raspberry mixture over the top of the batter.
10. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until done.
11. Serve with whipped or ice cream.
