Recipe: Snickerdoodles Cookies
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tarter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Cinnamon Topping
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 400° f.
- Cream together the butter and sugar; Add the eggs and mix well.
- Sift the dry ingredients together into a seperate bowl; mix into the butter mixture.
- Place dough into refrigerator to chill for at least 15 - 20 minutes.
- Roll the chilled dough to form 1 inch balls, then roll in the cinnamon mix, and place 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Place in oven and bake for 8 minutes, longer for larger cookies.
- Remove Snickerdoodles from oven, and let stit for 5 mintues; move to a wire rack to finish cooling.
