Recipe: Soft Molasses Cookies

Recipes using McCormick Ground Ginger

• 1 cup dark molasses
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sour milk
• 5 cups flour
• 2 tsps baking soda
• 1 tsp cloves
• 1 tsp ginger
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
• beaten egg-milk mixture

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix all but last two ingredients.
3. Add butter and let stand 10 minutes.
4. Drop by tablespoons on greased cookie sheet.
5. Brush with egg beaten with a little milk.
6. Bake 6 to 10 minutes.
