South African Biscuit Ingredients

• 1/4 lb butter or margarine
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cream of tartar

To make South African Biscuits

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Add egg and vanilla.
4. Sift together dry ingredients; add to mixture.
5. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
6. Bake South African Biscuits 12 to 15 minutes.
