Recipe: Spiced Pot Roast
Spiced Pot Roast Recipe
- 7-pound boneless chuck roast
- 8 ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 cups red wine
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 10 whole Cloves
- pepper
- Mix everything except the roast in a large sauce pan (large enough to hold roast and sauce). Mix well.
- Add the roast, and fill with water to cover.
- Cover and cook over medium heat until meat is tender and sauce has cooked down.
- Vegetables and potatoes may be added as desired.
- Remove meat and thicken sauce with mixture of flour and water.
