Recipe: Squash Casserole
- 3 heaping cups sliced yellow squash
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 small can pimentos (optional)
- 2 medium carrots, shredded
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp coarse ground garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- bread crumbs
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook squash until tender; drain.
- Add garlic salt, pepper and some butter.
- Then add other ingredients.
- Line casserole with buttered bread crumbs; reserve some for top of casserole.
- Pour in squash mixture and then put crumbs on top.
- Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
