Ingredients in Stewed Tomatoes

• 24 ounces canned diced tomatoes
• 4 ounces butter or margarine
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 2 to 3 Tablespoons cinnamon
• 2 to 3 Tablespoons nutmeg

To Make Stewed Tomatoes

1. In a large saucepan add tomatoes, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
2. Bring to a boil and let simmer until tender.
3. Cook for 30 minutes and let cool.
4. Stir cabbage until thoroughly coated with butter.
