Recipe: Stuffed Beef Rolls
- 2 lb round seak, 1/2 inch thick
- 4 oz sharp processed cheese, grated
- 1 slice bread, cut into fine cubes
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 tbsp parsley flakes
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp sea salt salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 1 10oz can condensed beef broth
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- Cut steak into 6 piecesl pound to 1/4 inch thick.
- Combine cheese, bread, onion, celery and parsley. Spread on pieces of steak.
- Roll each piece of steak as for a jelly roll. Secure with toothpicks or tie with string.
- Combine flour, salt, and white pepper. Roll meat in flour micture to coat.
- In a large dutch oven brown meat in hot oil .
- Combine beef broth and dry mustard. Pour over beef rolls. Cover and cook for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, adding additional liquidas needed.
- Remove meat from pan and set on a platter.
- Make gracy from juices in pan, using flour and water to thicken.
- Pour gracy over meat rolls, and serve.
