Recipe: Stuffed Mushrooms
Stuffed Mushrooms
- 24 slices of bread
- 3 inch doughnut cutter
Filling
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp shallots or green onions
- 1/2 lb mushrooms
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Cut off bread crusts. Butter and place buttered side down in muffin pan (small cups) to make shells. Bake at 400° F for 10 minutes. Heat onions in butter. Add mushrooms and cook until butter is absorbed. Add flour, then add cream and bring
to a boil and simmer for a few minutes. Add salt and pepper and lemon juice. Chill. Fill shells and bake at 350° for 10 minutes. |
