Recipe: Sweet & Sour Spareribs
- 2 lbs pork ribs , cut approx 1 inch in length
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsps cornstarch
- 5 tbsps Teriyaki Sauce
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Mix thoroughly sea salt, cornstarch, Teriyaki sauce.
- Pour marinate over ribs and marinate for 15-20 mins.
- Brown the marinated ribs in oil.
- Remove from oil and drain oil from skillet.
- Mix thoroughly sugar, vinegar, ginger, pineapple juice and Worcestershire sauce.
- Place browned ribs back in skillet and pour mixture over ribs to coat.
- Bring to boil.
- Turn heat to low and simmer for approximately 90 mins or until tender. Can put in a slow cooker for 2-3 hours.
- Serve over rice with pineapple slices.
