Recipe: Tex Mex Dip

Recipes using Tones Taco Seasoning

Ingredients in Tex Mex Dip

• 3 medium avocados
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 (10 ½ ounce) cans jalapeno bean dip
• 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
• 2 (3 ½ ounce) cans pitted ripe olives, chopped
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
• 1 large bunch green onions with tops, chopped
• 8 ounces shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
• tortilla chips

To Make Tex Mex Dip

1. Peel, pit, and mash avocados in medium bowl with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
2. In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning.
3. To assemble: Spread bean dip on a large shallow serving platter.
4. Top with seasoned avocado mixture.
5. Layer with sour cream mixture.
6. Sprinkle with onion, tomatoes and olives.
7. Cover with cheese.
8. Serve chilled or at room temperature with chips.
