Recipe: Tuna Chop Suey

Tuna Chop Suey

• 1 medium onion
• 1 cup celery
• 1/2 medium green pepper
• 1 cup carrot
• 1 can tuna, chunk style
• 1 cup string beans
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 1 cup hot water
• 1 can mushrooms (5-1/2 ounces)

• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1/2 teaspoon Accent
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1/3 cup mushroom liquid or water

1. Cut vegetables diagonally into thin strips.
2. Pour oil into skillet. When hot, add onion, celery and green pepper.
3. Stir and cook 2 to 3 minutes. Add carrots and string beans. Add 1 cup hot water, cover, and cook about 5 minutes.
4. Uncover vegetables, add mushrooms and drained tuna. Blend and push to sides of pan.
5. In a bowl mix the paste.
6. Add paste to pan and blend with liquid.
7. Cook until thickened. Serve hot.
