Recipe: Veal Supreme
- 1 lb veal (1/2 inch thick)
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 1/2 tsps salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Cut veal into serving pieces.
- Dip into crumbs, then into egg, beaten with water.
- Dip again into crumbs.
- Melt butter in skillet; add onion.
- Cook until translucent, stirring occasionally; remove from skillet.
- Place veal in skillet; brown on both sides.
- Place veal and onion in greased 2 qt casserole.
- Combine paprika, salt, pepper and sour cream.
- Pour over veal; cover tightly.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
