Recipe: Vegetable Casserole
- 2 slices bacon
- 1/2 chopped green or red pepper
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 can string beans (drained)
- 1 small can mushrooms (drained)
- 2 cans tomatoes (pulp only)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- Dash Tabasco, salt and pepper
- Stuffing crumbs
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Grease an oven casserole dish.
- Place bacon in a frying pan and fry until done.
- Remove bacon from frying pan.
- Brown green or red pepper and onion in bacon fat.
- Mix bacon, pepper, and onion in a large bowl with other ingredients.
- Turn into greased casserole dish and cover with stuffing crumbs.
- Bake 1 hour at 300 degrees.
