Recipe: Walnut Broccoli Casserole
- 3 (10 1/2 oz) pkg frozen broccoli, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 2 cups milk
- 2/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup chopped walnuts
- 6 tbsps butter or margarine
- 2/3 (7oz) pkg fine bread stuffing mix
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cook broccoli until just tender; drain and place in shallow greased 9X13 inch baking dish.
- Melt 1/2 cup butter; blend in flour.
- Simmer, stirring for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Blend in milk; cool, stirring until thickened.
- Pour over broccoli.
- Heat water, bouillon cube, and 6 tbsps butter together and pour over stuffing; mix in nuts.
- Top broccoli with this mixture and bake for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated through and stuffing begins to brown.
Servings: 8 to 10 |
