Whipped Sweet Potatoes Ingredients

• 2 pounds sweet potatoes, washed and dried
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Ground Cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon McCormick Ground Nutmeg

Microwave oven directions for Whipped Sweet Potatoes

1. Pierce each potato twice with a fork so excess steam can escape while cooking.
2. Microwave potatoes on HIGH 5-10 minutes or until tender, turning potatoes over halfway through cooking.
3. Let stand 5 minutes or until cool enough to handle.

Stovetop Directions for Whipped Sweet Potatoes

1. Peel and cut potatoes into large chunks and place in a large saucepan.
2. Add cold water to cover.
3. Bring to boil; cover and simmer 20-30 minutes or until tender. Drain.
4. Remove the skin from potatoes.
5. Place potatoes and remaining ingredients in a large bowl; mash until smooth and well blended.
