Recipe: White Clam Sauce

Ingredients in White Clam Sauce

• 1 can Sea Watch Chopped Sea Clams
• 4 ounces butter
• 4 ounces olive oil
• 4 tablespoons shallots
• 4 tablespoons chopped onions
• 4 teaspoons chopped garlic
• 10 ounces Sea Watch clam juice
• 12 ounces white wine
• 2 teaspoons dried oregano
• 2 teaspoons dried basil
• 2 teaspoons dried parsley
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 8 teaspoons corn starch

To Make White Clam Sauce

1. Saute shallots and garlic in butter and olive oil.
2. Add clam juice and herbs; mix well.
3. Simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Mix corn starch with white wine.
5. Add to simmering liquid and boil until thickened.
6. Add clam meat.
7. Cook an additional 1-2 minutes.
8. Serve over linguine.
