Cast iron dutch oven

If you haven't cooked on an open fire with one of these heavy and sturdy cooking pots, you must try it! You can cook almost anything in them. I've made biscuits (baked right in the pot!), stews, beans, roast, chicken and dumplings, and even hot dogs in mine!

To bake in the skillet, you just heat it up near the fire, add your uncooked product to the skillet, put the lid on, then cover the top with coals from the fire.

I will definitely be trying out a Dutch oven soon. Do you have any great recipes to try out a new Dutch oven.
 
I have been so interested in this way of cooking for a long time. I think I am going to do some more research online about it. :)
 
Boy Scouts

I am hoping we can get another one of these for our boy scout pack. The person who had one moved on to a different pack and now we are without :( I would like ideas for new recipes also if anyone knows any.
