"Greater Tuna"?

A friend recently made a Bisquick "Frito Pie"- which reminded me of something that I just have to share- and w/ the holidays drawing near, the timing is perfect!

Are any of you familiar w/ the hilariously funny Broadway show “Greater Tuna” from a few years back?

The Home of Greater Tuna

Think Carol Burnet’s skits of “Mama’s Family” w/ Eunice and Mama- with a twist!

In ‘Greater Tuna’ all the quirky, whacko residents of a tiny Texas red-neck town (Tuna) are portrayed by TWO talented, quick-changing actors and Patsy Cline music is the order of the day! Ya gotta buy or rent the DVD's- the laughs are hysterical- I promise your sides will be aching!

Now on to the “Frito Pie” part… a couple years ago the actors created a sequel called “A Greater Tuna Christmas” and if possible- it’s even better than the original- complete w/ dysfunctional family drama, Christmas carols sung by a chain-smoker and tinsel placed on a Christmas Tree so sparse it makes the Charlie Brown tree look like a lush, vibrant pine. (And of course there’s a Frito Pie in the mix!)

I've actually seen them. They were great. You would never know the whole play was carried out by only two people. You see I live in a tiny redneck town just on the Louisiana side of the border.
