This bread is really good. I didn't know it was a copycat of the outback steak house bread. Not ever having been there. Here is the recipe I used and a photo. CF
Honey Wheat Bushman Bread
· 1 1/4 cups warm black coffee (90-F - 100-F)
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbsp brown sugar or dark brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter, softened or melted
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp table salt
2 cups Bread Flour
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
2 1/4 tsp Bread Machine or Instant Yeast
I use the bread machine on the dough cycle. Bake in loaf pan, at 375°.
Let rise in a covered bowl until doubled. Punch down and shape for loaf pan. Rise again in loaf pan and bake for 35 min. or until bread is 200°. I think it would be lighter with all white flour. Although this is pretty good bread.
