So??? What is it? My husband gets this bright idea once in awhile that he needs to go in the kitchen and sharpen my knives. I only know that he's done it cuz all of a sudden I cant slice through butter!!!

What's the right way to do it? I know it depends on what you've got for a sharpener... so what do you use and how do you use it??

(Reminds me of this goober on a home shopping network all for knives. He was showing off this handy new sharpener and bout took his finger off. LOL)

I use a wet or dry sharpening stone. It’s easier than using the rod, well that’s my opinion. You want to make sure you have your knife at the proper angle also. I would check out various types of sharpening methods at the store and simply follow the directions. It’s not hard at all.
