I have chicken and I want to make a pizza

I have chicken, peppers, onions and mushroom and a lot of mozarella cheese.
I guess spices - oregano, paprika, pepper
That's all and I want to know if I can make a tasty pizza tonight and if yes, how should I cook the chicken?
I have made veggie pizza in the past but never a chicken pizza yet.
Please guide me.

Well - to begin with - you need to cook your chicken! Leftover chicken is great for pizza - but it has to be cooked first - whether you pan-fry or roast, cook in a crockpot - whatever - its' up to you.

Many chicken pizzas use BBQ sauce in place of the pizza sauce. Make as you would any pizza - and if you wanted to you could use regular pizza sauce as well.

Chicken pizza is also made using alfredo sauce - so the choice is yours!

Dont' be afraid to experiment - but please cook the chicken first!

Mama's right - as long as the chicken is cooked before putting it on the pizza, it's up to you how to prepare it. I usually boil mine and then chop it up really fine and sprinkle it over the pizza instead of using bigger chunks, but that's obviously up to you.

I sometimes make a BBQ chicken pizza that's pretty good too. I spread on some bbq sauce, chicken and then use cheddar or colby cheese instead of mozz.

If you want you can leave out the pizza sauce and use garlic and olive oil on the pizza base. Of course, you have to cook the chicken first no matter what way you want to make it.

Well, these options sound good.
I got it. The most important thing is to cook the chicken, right?
Will do that. Do I need to also cook the vegetables in advance?

the veggies don't need to be cooked in advance because there is no danger of bacteria from raw veggies like there is from raw meat. The veggies will cook as the pizza bakes. If you cook the veggies first, they're more likely to get soft and soggy instead of crisp and full of flavor.

After so much advice and tips, I finally ended up with a horrible pizza.
I don't know why. Medako I should have followed your advice and not cooked the vegetables in advance. :(

well sweetnsour - it was just a small error - no biggie! sometimes less is better too don't forget! you didn't say what kind of sauce you used - your seasonings should compliment your sauce and toppings - that could be the problem too - don't let it stop you from trying again!

Oh, sweetnsour, maybe you can try it again.

I love chicken pizza and I order it all the time. My brother makes a mean one too! He adds his own bbq sauce and the pizza tastes heavenly!

I used a tomato based pizza sauce and oregano, salt, pepper for seasoning.
Yes may be, I will make something better next time!

Well, this is quite late for your request but thought I would weigh in on this one also. I like to season things highly. other ideas for seasoning your chicken are sage, thyme, a little rosemary, garlic powder, and onion powder.
I like to roast my hen before using it in other reicpes. If you are using chicken breasts. I usually grill them or saute them in a little bit of olive oil.

Here is a recipe for barbecue chicken tortilla pizzas. with some variations I have tried. Enjoy!

Servings 16

Ingredients

2 flour tortillas
1 ½ cups chopped or shredded chicken or other meat
¼ cup barbecue sauce
2/3 cup chopped tomato, or bell pepper or what ever veggie you like
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Sliced jalapenos, fresh diced or sliced tomatoes

Directions

1. Heat grill to medium heat. Top each tortilla with about 2 to 4 tablespoons barbecue sauce, 1/3 cup of the chicken or other meat, and 1 cup total of the cheeses.

2. Place tortillas on grill. Cover and grill 6 to 8 minutes or until chicken is hot and cheese is melted. Remove from the grill and top with tomatoes. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges. Serve with garnishes.

Notes You can make these in the oven. I use a cookie sheet with a cake cooling rack on top. Then I preheat the oven to 425 and bake it until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy and browned on the edges. I like to use my home made barbecue sauce. Have fun with this recipe, use pizza sauce and pepperoni, or brown some ground turkey and use a taco seasoning, shred lettuce and use taco sauce in place of pizza sauce, maybe green chiles, diced tomatoes and picante sauce, some sour cream and make a taco pizza.
