2 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped crystallized ginger (w/spices)
2 pounds fresh jumbo shrimp, peeled and cleaned

Combine all ingredients (except shrimp) in a shallow dish. Stir well, gently toss in shrimp to coat. Cover and chill at least 2 to 5 hours. Remove shrimp and skewer, saving marinade. Grill over medium high coals for 3 to 5 min. Baste w/ marinade constantly.

This looks delicious, thank you. I need to try it soon. We love shrimp and I'm always looking for new ways to prepare them. They cook so fast and usually the preparation is so simple and easy.

Except for the deveining, of course. Is there a more disagreeable job in the kitchen? I don't think so.

I've had something like that, but the recipe was slightly different. Doesn't matter, if it's shrimp, I like it. Unless it's on fire.

This sounds so good! I love shrimp and this looks easy as well :D

The receipe looks great. I think I might have to try to make that this weekend. We are haivng friends over and shrimp is always a good thing to have. Especially if it is quick and easy to make. Thanks for sharing.

I will definetly be trying this one. Thanks, I've been looking for a good shimp grilling recipe.

Yes, I'll try this one for a change. We always cook fish, meat, and pork. For a weekend family get together, this sounds great. Thanks for the recipe. Can i use vinegar instead of lemon juice?
