I've never heard of this either, not sure how I feel about it coming from a can though :p Does it taste the same coming from the can?

I asked my husband about this... He's from Texas, and is 38. He never heard of it either, but I did remind him about some frozen bread he used to sell in school for fundraisers. They were flavored, usually some kind of fruit or cinnamon or cream cheese; and the tops were 'braided'. You had to take them out to thaw and rise over night to eat for breakfast, but they were good he said.

Well, let's try this again. Just tried to make this post and my IE shut down on me.

Hubby brought this stuff home from work. He works in a warehouse where they purchase dented cans and crates & such. So I'm not sure where this shipment of bread in a can was suppose to go... so not sure where to look to find it again.

No it's not quite as good as most breads you'll find. But the concept is neat.
The school fundraiser -- that's butterbraid bread. Or something like that. We're suppose to be selling it right now but I cant see asking someone to pay $9.50 for a loaf of bread!!!

Personally, I buy the frozen stuff. 5 loaves for $2.50 or somewhere around there. My kids are very impressed with watching it rise throughout the day plus they like to boast that "mommy makes her own bread" Haha... if they only knew.

In PA they sell them in our local craft stores. We have a place called "Backwoods". I've never tried them though. :) Hope that helps!
