Personally, I would ask ahead of time for his suggestions on how to stop for food so it's enjoyable for everyone. I'm sure he's used to working out these situations, so he probably has some ready ideas and would appreciate being consulted.

Also, I would think cafeterias would be good choices. There is a lot of variety there and he should be able to choose some appropriate items.

And if you plan to pack some food to take along (which has the added bonus of being a money-saver), then you can control the available food even more.

I found a website where you can buy vegan or organic foods online. It looks like a nice website! Here is the link http://www.wellnessgrocer.com/index.php. I hope this helps someone.

I would definitely have him pack a cooler and use grocery stores as much as possible. Maybe check out the websites of some popular fast food joints and see if anything fits his needs- maybe some of the salads are safe? I think packing a supply of fruits, veggies, pasta salads, veggies dogs, etc, would probably be the best and safest bet.

I've never heard of anyone having trouble finding vegan foods. A lot of grocery stores have them now & even a lot of restaraunts have that kind of food. You'd have to go to a sit-down restaraunt. I don't think McDonalds would be what you're looking for. ;)

I would order a vegetable sandwich or a meatless/dairyless salad, always works for me.
