Grease a 9X13 inch baking dish really well. Dump one can of sweetened applesauce into it. Dump 1 can of crushed pineapple on top of that. Spread 1 pkg. of dry yellow cake mix over the pineapple. Melt 1 cup of butter and pour it on top of the cake mix. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of chopped nuts over the melted butter. Do NOT stir. Bake at 350F for 1 hour. Top with whipped cream and maraschino cherries if you want to. This is a guy thing and really good.
