Is there

I have heard of folks who are gluten and or whaet intolerant, but I do not recall anyone with an actual yeast allergy. I imagine that there could be. I love yeast bread and have no known allergy to anything, well except people with bad attitudes;). I do not see how it would hurt to try the non-yeast breads and see what they are like. Of-course I would rather fight than switch! I love yeast breads:p

There is so much natural yeast in the air we breath and in certain areas it is very abundant. It would be very hard on a person health wise if there y were alergic to it.

You can actually make a starter for a bread dough by letting a mixture of flour and water collect the yeast in the air, such as a sour dough bread starter.

I'm not even going in the direction of yeast infections, lol.

yes I heard about this type of allergy some time ago, and its sufferers have symptoms like overall tiredness and nasal congestion

That sounds horrible, I thought things like peanut allergies were bad enough. Still I guess it could be worse. My neighbors kid has peanut allergy so for some reason I guess I pay more attention to it now.

I am allergic to yeast. I can however eat sourdough made with a starter that you make on the counter. I am in extreme pain if I eat a piece of store bought bread.
Its frustrating because I say, " I am allergic to yeast" and people want to feed me gluten free, but I can eat wheat. Weird I know.

The only alcohol I can have is tequila. Everything else makes me bloat and my fingers and toes swell. After much testing we figured out it is yeast.
