Crockpot German-Style Green Beans

2 (14 ounce) cans green beans, with liquid or 1 1/2 lbs fresh steamed green beans

6 slices cooked bacon, reserve drippings

3 tablespoons bacon drippings(optional)

6 tablespoons cider vinegar
6 tablespoons brown sugar
Cut cooked bacon into half inch pieces.

Place all ingredients in a small crock pot including some of the bacon drippings (optional).

Cook on low 6-8 hours. The longer the beans cook, the more flavorful they are.
 
CROCK POT GOULASH

4-5 potatoes, peeled & chopped in bottom of crock pot
1 med. onion, chopped
1-2 sliced carrots
Corn
Peas
1 lb. hamburger
Salt & pepper
1 can tomato soup

Starting with potatoes layer vegetables in crock pot. (You may use frozen vegetables but you will need to add about 1/2 cup water.) Place raw hamburger on top of vegetables and top with the tomato soup. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 6-8 hours.
 
Crock Pot Green Chili Burros

2 pound rump roast
1 cup chopped onion
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 can diced green chilies - (10 oz)
1 can tomato sauce - (16 oz)



Instructions
Layer ingredients, meat first, in crock pot. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Do not stir for first 5 hours. Shred meat after 7 hours.

Serve on flour or corn tortillas. Top with sour cream, if desired.
 
Crock Pot Ham

1 small ham
Apple juice to cover
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups white raisins



Instructions
Cook ham in juice 8 to 10 hours on LOW.

Before serving turn oven to 375 degrees. Make a paste of the sugar, mustard, cloves and about 1 tablespoon of the hot juice. Smear on ham. Place ham in a baking pan and pour in a cup full of the hot juice and the raisins. Bake 30 minutes or until the paste has turned into a glaze.
 
Crock Pot Ham And Potatoes

6 slices ham - (to 8 slices)
8 medium potatoes - (to 10) peeled, sliced thin
1 medium onion peeled, sliced thin
Salt to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
2 cans cream of celery or mushroom soup
Paprika



Instructions
Put half of ham, potatoes and onions in crock pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then grated cheese. Repeat with remaining half. Spoon undiluted soup over top. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours.
 
Crock Pot Harvest Dinner

1 pounds boneless beef chuck pot roast - (to 2 lbs)
2 tablespoon cooking oil
1 medium onion sliced thin
3 medium sweet potatoes peeled, quartered
2 cup beef broth
3 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoon cold water



Instructions
Trim fat from roast; brown in skillet on all sides in hot oil. Drain well. In 3 1/2- to 4-quart crock pot place first onion, then sweet potatoes. Place roast in top of vegetables, cut if necessary to fit.

Combine beef broth, celery salt, salt, and cinnamon. Pour over all. Cover. Cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.

To serve, transfer roast and vegetables to platter. Reserve juices. Measure 1 cup; make gravy by stirring cornstarch in cold water; add to juices. Cook and stir for 2 minutes, until thickened and bubbly.
 
Crock Pot Herbed Round Steak

2 pounds beef round steak
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 onion
1 can cream of celery soup - (10 3/4 oz)
1 can cream of broccoli soup - (10 3/4 oz)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup red or white wine
3 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper



Instructions
Trim fat from steak. Cut meat into serving size portions. In a skillet brown meat in hot oil. Slice onion and place in bottom of 4-quart crock pot. Place browned meat atop onion.

In a bowl combine remaining ingredients; pour over meat. Cook on HIGH heat setting for 5 hours. Serve over rice with a steamed broccoli side dish.
 
Crock Pot Italian Beef

4 pounds pot roast of beef - (to 5 lbs)
3 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon basil
1 package Good Season salad dressing mix
1 onion (optional)



Instructions
Pour ingredients over beef and cook on LOW all day in a crock pot. Shred beef and return to broth for 15 minutes.

Serve on buns or over French bread.
 
CROCK POT LEMON CHICKEN

Two 3-lb. chickens, cut up
1/4 c. flour
2 T. oil
1 can (6 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
3 T. brown sugar
3 T. ketchup
1 T. vinegar
2 T. cornstarch

Coat chicken pieces with flour; brown on all sides in oil in skillet; drain. Arrange in crockpot. Combine lemonade concentrate, brown sugar, ketchup and vinegar in bowl. Pour over chicken; cover. Cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours oruntil chicken is tender. Drain chicken; reserving liquid. Let chicken stand in covered crockpot. Blend cornstarch with 2 T. cold water. Mix with reserved liquid in saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Serve shicken with gravy and hot cooked rice.

Serves 6 to 8
 
Crock Pot Little Smokies

2 packages cocktail wieners
1 bottle chili sauce - (med bottle)
1 jar grape jelly - (med jar)



Instructions
Combine in crock pot and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
 
Crock Pot Macaroni And Cheese

1 package macaroni - (16 oz) cooked, drained
1 tablespoon salad oil
1 can evaporated milk - (13 oz)
1 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup melted butter



Instructions
Lightly grease crock pot. Toss macaroni and oil. Add all remaining ingredients. Stir, cover and cook on LOW 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
 
Crock Pot Meatballs

2 pounds hamburger
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
Grated Parmesan cheese to taste
Parsley to taste
Oregano to taste
Onion powder to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Milk as needed
1 can beer - (12 oz)
1 bottle ketchup - (regular size)



Instructions
Mix hamburg, breadcrumbs, egg, seasonings and milk together. Make small meatballs. Mix ketchup and beer in the crock pot and start to heat.

You can put the raw meatballs into the sauce and simmer for several hours, or you can bake the meatballs first to get out most of the grease.
 
Crock Pot Mexican Beef

1 pounds round steak cut bite-size pieces
1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 chopped onion
1 beef bouillon cube crushed
1 can tomatoes - (16 oz) cut up
1 can kidney beans - (16 oz) drained



Instructions
Mix meat, salt, pepper, chili powder and mustard in pot. Cover with onion, bouillon cube, and tomatoes. Top with beans. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.

Mix and serve with rice.
 
Crock Pot Morning Casserole

1 bag (32 oz.) frozen hash brown potatoes

1 lb. of bacon diced, cooked and drained or 1 lb. cooked ham, cubed

1 medium diced onion

1 green bell pepper diced

1 1/2 Cup. shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

1 dozen eggs

1 Cup. milk

1 teaspoon. salt

1 teaspoon. pepper (more or less to taste)

Place a layer of frozen potatoes on the bottom of the slow cooker, followed by a layer of bacon then onions, green pepper and cheese. Repeat the layering process two or three more times, ending with a layer of cheese.

Beat the eggs, milk and salt and pepper together. Pour over the Crockpot mixture, cover and turn on low. Cook for 10-12 hours.
 
Crock Pot Oatmeal

1 cup oatmeal
1 cup raisins (optional)
2 cups water
(Other options, apples, cinnamon, nuts.)



Instructions
Spray crock pot with non-stick spray. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. When the raisins cook with the oatmeal it sweetens it, so adjust the amount of sugar or sweetener.
 
Crock Pot Onion Chops

4 pork chops - (to 6)
1 envelope dried onion soup mix
1 cup water
Potatoes
Onions
Carrots



Instructions
Place pork chops in crock pot. Sprinkle soup mix around and between. Add water. Add peeled onions, potatoes, and carrots to suit. Cook on HIGH setting 4 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
 
Crock Pot Orange Glazed Carrots

3 cups thinly-sliced carrots
3 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 cups water
3 tablespoon orange marmalade
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon chopped pecans



Instructions
Combine carrots, water, and salt in crock pot. Cover and cook on HIGH 2 to 3 hours or until the carrots are done.

Drain well; stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on HIGH 20 to 30 minutes.

This recipe yields 5 to 6 servings.
 
Crock Pot Oyster Stew

2 quarts whole milk
1 cup butter
2 pints fresh oysters
1 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce



Instructions
In crock pot heat milk on HIGH for 1 1/2 hours. In saucepan, melt butter and add oysters with liquid. Simmer on low until edges of oysters curl. Add seasonings. Combine with the hot milk in crock pot and stew on LOW for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
 
Crock Pot Pizza

1-1/2 pound lean ground beef, browned and drained
2 large bags Mozzarella cheese
1 onion, chopped
1 package pepperoni, sliced
2/3 box rigatoni noodles, cooked
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms
2 cans pizza sauce

Alternate layers in crock pot as follows: hamburger, noodles, cheese, soup, mushrooms, onions, sauce and pepperoni. Heat 4 hours on low in crock pot.
 
Crock Pot Pork Barbecue

5 pounds fresh pork shoulder - (to 7 lbs)
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoon sugar
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
1 cups vinegar
1 cup ketchup
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
1 dash hot sauce



Instructions
Put pork in crock pot. Sprinkle salt and pepper over shoulder and add vinegar. Cover and simmer 12 hours.

Remove from pot and pick meat from bones. Strain liquid and keep approximately 2 cups. Add remaining ingredients. Mix with minced meat and return to crock pot. Cook on LOW until juice is cooked down (or cook on a HIGH setting for shorter time). Freezes well.
