Another Funny Story .. Sort of lol.

Anyone ever ask you if they can have it set up so that if they pass unexpected their pet will go to you? Jon's Mama had me promise ages ago if something ever happened to them I would take her cat Mojo.
My neighbor who is super sweet has this black mid size schnauzer that I love. When I walk pass their door the dog just about takes the door off to get outside so we can visit. Her Mama says I am the only other person beside her who the dog likes. The little dog is scared to death of men. When I was taking out the garbage yesterday she let her dog come out on the balcony so I could see it and she asked me if something ever happened to her could she leave it so that her family would bring the dog to me. I told her why wait and that I would just take her now ... She wouldn't go for it lol.

There was a little 6 month old stray cat on the balcony last night. I fed it tuna and cream so to repay me it is using one of my pots of herbs as a litter box lol. What is that old saying about no good deed.

I'm glad it was the pot of basil that was starting to get thin and about past using lol. If it had been my pot of chives I would have been upset. There is a farm house about a quarter of a mile away behind here. I'm betting he was a farm cat because he was well fed and used to people but no collar. Hope he found his way back to where ever he came from. If the landlord notices him hanging around he will take him to the pound.

Well I still have a cat today. I have given him two roasted chicken legs and a couple nice ice cold bowls of milk. It is 97 out there today.

I am afraid that kitty is sick. It is sneezing a lot. We wash up every time we touch it. I don't want Pooh or Spike catching anything.

Following that logic I own a whole lot lol. I am very allergic to cats. They trigger my asthma almost instantly.
I tried to spray the cat with some flea spray last night and it went nuts and took off. Have not seen it today. I made a mistake feeding it. It is trying to get in everyone's door here. I have tried to get a couple of friends with farms to take it for a barn cat but no takers yet. My brother said if it is still here next week when he comes to town he will take it home with him. He wants a cat to catch mice and they live out in the country.

oh oh now you're the kitty's doc too - boy have they got you pegged!!
No ... not the doc. I did not intend for it to sound like I was.

Unfortunately around here just about every outside cat you see sneezes and has infection in its eyes. Jon's brother's kids have about two dozen of them roaming his place all of which are sick. It is the reason I cannot stand to go to their house. Jon's Dad's neighbors let their cats reproduce and one day while we were going to his Dads this tiny little kitten from their house walks right out in front of our car because its little eyes were stuck together and it could not see so it walked right out into the road. I got out and got the kitten and put it back on their porch. The next day I took them ointment and other stuff to clean their eyes and gave it to them. Asked them a few weeks later if the used it and they said no because they were afraid it would hurt the kittens  Letting them suffer with the infection was way more safe.

Our vet here is very expensive for even an office visit. When I got my first bunny I researched and talked to breeders and learned things you could do for them from the local feed store but some things simply require a vet. I am careful about getting around sick animals because I do not want to risk bringing anything in on Pooh who is almost 13 or Spike. I was not trying to pass myself off as some animal doctor. I just think it is better to air on the side of caution when it comes to maybe exposing my own animals to anything. It saves them the unnecessary suffering and honestly it saves me the unnecessary expensive vet bill.

you may not be an animal doctor - but they can sense your care for animals and come to you for help -
Princess brought home 2 wild bunnies - and they were sick - they lasted a week and then died - it broke her little heart
and that is how she got their dog - found him on the street -
this kid is going to own an animal shelter some day - she loves animals of all kinds

my "babies' - I'm an adopted gram - long story short - the little girl we raised grew up and got married and gave me my two grandbabies - Princess is 11 and Bruiser is 9 and I live for them and would die for them! We are closer than family - thicker than blood.

I have a Bichon Frise that I will leave to you. That is the yappingest dog I have ever seen. He goes bonkers every time someone walks past the house. He perches on the back of the sofa like a cat. We paid a fortune for him at 5 weeks (he is now 4 years old). My husband says we should have used that money to buy a good set of mattresses. (We really love Snapper. We just should have done our homework prior to purchase.)
