Hopefully hubby will be more impressed with the drier ribs. He's not a big fan of messy ribs, so we'll see what he thinks this time.
I use my crock pot all the time. Well, sort of all the time. Both of us work in an office all day so it's tough to spend a lot of time on dinner, so I use the crock pot when I can. Most of the things I make in it are better suited for cold weather meals, like pot roast. I use it more in winter.

I think I'm gonna make a version of swiss steak in the crock pot this week. For some reason that's just sounded good lately.
medako - that does sound good! and with the heat and humidity back - the crockpot can do the cooking for a change!
