We need more holidays! It seems that when it's the holiday that is the only time people are nice to each other!

Has anyone seen The Everyone Loves Raymond Episode with the Tofu Turkey.
I never laffed so hard. Specially when they referred to the turkey as shaking like jello.

To me putting out a Holiday meal is something I want to put some pride into.I don't care what shape a person is in as long as they appreciate the meal. The last thing I would do is prepare a crappy meal and then degrade everyone while they ate it. I even go out of my way to prepare something knowing what most of the guest like. If you don't like turkey, there is some Baked Ziti for you. Sweat potatoe casserole or just baked sweat potatoes. You don't like cornbread stuffing, have the plain. Everyone is spoiled, even me, I hate green bean casserole because they were always pushed on me, lol. But I make it because I know who wants it. If I see someone pouring my gravy over everything on their plate, the last thing I would do is insult them, I'm just greatful they appreciate my gravy. I'll make sure that person notices the dinner rolls too. Lets say thankful.... Thankful for friends, thankful for family, thankful to be able to celebrate with everyone and for the meal. Thankful to God and always say a blessing before the meal.

Isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?

And I say Amen to everyone's posts! Thank God you are able to eat, and give Him thanks and Praise! There is a friend of ours who was in a terrible Motor Cycle accident two weeks ago, he lay in a coma at the Earlanger Critical Care Unit, and is on life support, his family is sick with grief and worry! I thank God he has made it thus far and pray for them as they wait!

I hope they keep talking to him and keep him informed and tell him how much they love him and want him back in their active lives - he CAN hear everything. That is something many do not realize! Always make POSITIVE conversation - if you can't - then read a positive book or the Bible to him. It will help. Trust me - I know....
